Eythor Bjørgolfsson Transfer to Motherwell
Motherwell have announced the signing of Norwegian striker Eythor Bjørgolfsson on a two-and-a-half year deal, which is their first acquisition of the January transfer window. The 25-year-old former Seattle Sounders player was spotted at Fir Park during the club's recent win over Ross County before his deal was confirmed. Manager Jens Berthel Askou noted that the recruitment department identified Bjørgolfsson as a strong match and praised his data, which he described as standout, adding that the club also received good recommendations from its network in Scandinavia. The striker, who scored 15 goals last season for Umeå FC in Sweden, could make his debut against Kilmarnock. Bjørgolfsson said he was thrilled to be in Scotland and at Motherwell, expressing excitement about the team's style of play and his hope to make a quick impact.
