Telegraph journalist John Percy reports that Wolves are targeting Coventry City's English striker Ellis Simms, 25, and that manager Rob Edwards prioritises signing British talent for the club's Championship campaign. However, the deal is considered difficult as the Sky Blues may not wish to sell the striker. Simms scored 13 goals in 43 games to help Coventry win promotion to the Premier League and will likely hope for a chance to play in the top flight. Simms joined Coventry City in July 2023 and has a contract until 2027. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €12.00m. West Ham United have also been reported as being interested in the forward.
