Coventry City have sent scouts to monitor Cardiff City's ball-playing central defender Dylan Lawlor and his teammate Ronan Kpakio. The 20-year-old Lawlor, a Welsh international with three senior caps, has been scouted by the Sky Blues. The defender has one previous Championship appearance, with most of his senior experience being in League One. In the current 2025/2026 League One season, he has made 19 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. His contract with Cardiff City runs until June 2028, and his Transfermarkt valuation is €1.20m. Several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, have also been linked with the defender.
