Dominik Livaković leaving Girona?
According to Mundo Deportivo, a Croatian player wants to leave his current team in January to secure a starting position elsewhere. The player wants to leave in January if he does not secure a starting position before the transfer window opens, which is a crucial condition for him to maintain his chances of playing in the World Cup. The report adds that if he plays even a single minute with Girona, he will not be able to play for any other team this season, and this competitive pressure is leading him to consider leaving as his only option.
According to AS, Livakovic might depart this January to obtain more playing time and to become Croatia's starting goalkeeper.
Sportske Novosti reports that if Livaković plays for Girona for at least one minute, he will be unable to leave the club this winter. This is because during a single season, a player can be a member of three clubs but is only permitted to play official matches for two. Livaković has already made two appearances for Fenerbahçe this season.
Dominik Livaković, the 30-year-old Croatian goalkeeper, must hope that Míchel will not give him a chance until the end of winter, because otherwise he would not be able to change clubs in the winter transfer window. The goalkeeper's contract with his parent club, Fenerbahce, runs until June 2028 and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €6.00m. Several clubs, including Sevilla and West Ham United, have previously been linked with the player.
