Djibril Gueye, a 19-year-old, 1.95-meter-tall Senegalese central defender from Leganés B, has arrived in Portugal to join Sporting B. The club had been interested in the player since July. Last season, Gueye played 12 matches for the Spanish club's secondary team and made three appearances for the main squad, one in the 2nd Division and two in the Copa del Rey. Villarreal and Leipzig were also monitoring the defender, but Sporting secured the signing. Gueye, who completed his youth training at Leganés, has already undergone medical examinations, with an official announcement expected in the next few days. The defender joined Leganés B in July 2025 and his contract was set to expire in June 2027.
