Lecce is reportedly one of three Serie A clubs, along with Monza and Parma, in discussions to sign Rangers' 22-year-old Mauritanian international winger Djeidi Gassama. Rangers has already rejected £6 million offers from both Monza and Parma. Monza has had two bids turned down by the Ibrox club, with their most recent offer being approximately €7 million. Gassama, who has 3 caps for Mauritania, joined Rangers from Sheffield Wednesday in July 2025 for a fee of €2.4 million and is under contract until June 2029. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €6.00m, and in January/February 2026, the asking price for the player was reported to be between €6-8 million.
