US Lecce is one of several European clubs interested in William Mirwasser, a 17-year-old Hong Kong FC defender who is seeking a return to Europe. The player is scheduled to visit Lecce and RC Strasbourg during the November international break and has previously visited Everton and Blackburn Rovers during a prior break. A source close to Mirwasser stated that the purpose of these trips is to see the clubs' training centres and discuss his future. The source added that a decision has not been made, as they want to take the time to explore all possibilities before he commits to a new team next summer. FIFA regulations prevent Mirwasser from leaving Hong Kong until he turns 18 next August, and the clubs interested in him will have to wait until August 28th, 2027, to complete a transfer.
