Kenneth Vargas, a 24-year-old Costa Rican international, has attracted interest from major Greek clubs, including Olympiacos, AEK, PAOK, and Panathinaikos, due to his performances. The winger is currently playing for Kalamata on a two-year loan from the Scottish club Hearts. The loan agreement includes a purchase option. It is predicted that Kalamata's owner will soon act to buy the player for a fee of approximately €800,000, which would preempt the interested clubs. Vargas' contract with Hearts is set to expire in June 2029. He has made 21 appearances and scored 3 goals for Costa Rica. His market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €700k.
