Chelsea are reportedly expressing interest in re-signing 21-year-old Diego Moreira from Strasbourg, a club also owned by BlueCo, because of his impressive form in Ligue 1. According to TBR Football, the London club could have an option to trigger a low-cost buy-back clause for the Belgian-Portuguese player, who can play at left-back or in midfield. The same report notes that Chelsea initially sold him for £1.7m and it is believed his buy-back clause will not be significantly higher than that amount. A transfer between the clubs has been arranged previously; Chelsea arranged for Emanuel Emegha to join from Strasbourg in 2026, a move reported by BBC Sport. Moreira's contract at Strasbourg runs until 2029. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €18m, and he has also attracted interest from clubs in Italy and Turkey.
