Mathis Albert Transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea
Chelsea are among the clubs with a long-standing interest in Borussia Dortmund's Mathis Albert, who is considering his future. In January of this year, the club was willing to potentially pay as much as €20 million for him. This interest did not become a concrete offer because Dortmund did not want to lose Albert shortly after he signed in 2024. Further enquiries were made this summer. A Premier League move will not be possible until next summer, as he turns 18 in May. According to Sky Germany, Albert's frustration over his lack of playing time could become a problem for Dortmund in future transfer windows.

Chelsea FC and Manchester City are showing interest in German-American winger Mathis Albert. A transfer fee of around 20 million euros is reportedly being considered for the US international, despite him having very little professional playing experience. However, Borussia Dortmund's sporting director, Ole Book, said that the club has a clear plan for the 17-year-old and that his chances to play will come. Albert, who has 4 caps and 1 goal for the United States, has a contract with the club until June 30, 2027, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €5.00m.
