David Ricardo Transfer from Botafogo to Dinamo Moskva

FogãoNET, citing Tuttosport, reports that David Ricardo prefers to move to Torino rather than Dynamo Moscow, despite more favorable terms offered by the Russian club. According to the same source, the Russian club offered €7 million for the purchase of the player, with Botafogo retaining 20% of his rights.

ESPN reported that the negotiation for defender David Ricardo's transfer from Botafogo to Dynamo Moscow was close to completion but has stalled. According to sources, an agreement between the clubs is advancing, with the Russians prepared to pay 6.5 million euros for the defender. However, discussions have stopped due to disagreements on personal terms between the player's agents and the Moscow team. Further reports indicate that David Ricardo's transfer to Dynamo might not happen. Botafogo is waiting to see if the player's representatives can resolve the disagreement with Dynamo to ascertain whether the transfer will be completed. A possibility exists that the deal will not proceed, and the next few hours will be crucial in finalizing the sale.

Dinamo Moskva is a new competitor for Botafogo's Brazilian centre-back David Ricardo and is competing with Torino to sign him. The Russian team is reportedly closer to meeting the financial conditions set by the Brazilian club. Botafogo is demanding a permanent transfer worth at least a couple of million euros more than Torino's initial bid. The Serie A club's initial offer, a loan with an option to buy totaling €6 million, was rejected. However, the 23-year-old player's priority is a move to Serie A, specifically to Torino, and his entourage has reached an agreement with the Italian club on a contract until 2030. Ricardo, who joined Botafogo in January 2025, has a contract until the end of 2028 and is also reportedly being monitored by Bologna. It was reported in January 2026 that Botafogo's asking price was between €8 million and €9 million, and Dynamo Moscow was said to have had a €7 million offer rejected. The player's market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €7.00m.
