Botafogo is proceeding with the sale of 23-year-old Brazilian forward Matheus Martins to Dynamo Moscow of Russia in a deal for approximately €7 million, with an additional €1 million based on performance targets. The information, first reported by the newspaper O Globo, has been confirmed. Martins joined Botafogo in 2024 from the Italian club Udinese for a fee of €10 million. In the current 2025/2026 Série A season, Martins has scored 4 goals in 20 appearances. It was reported that earlier in the transfer window, in June 2026, Botafogo's asking price was €8 million. It was also said that the club rejected a €4.5 million offer from a Turkish club.
