The publication describes Affengruber's recent performances as exceptional, and it is also claimed that Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are keen on the player. His current price is stated to be €15million (£13m / $17.5m), a figure that could reportedly increase significantly if his form continues. While acquiring a new centre-back in 2026 is a priority for Manchester United, sources have indicated that the club will likely wait until the summer, with a new midfielder understood to be the main focus for the January window. Affengruber, who joined Elche on a free transfer from Sturm Graz in 2024, has a contract with the Spanish club until June 30, 2026, and a current market value of €7.5 million, according to Transfermarkt.
