In response, Fenerbahçe's Football Director, Devin Özek, has reportedly started researching the costs of a potential deal, but the player's agent has been informed his €21 million annual salary cannot be matched. Núñez's contract with Al-Hilal is valid until 2028 and he has received positive feedback about Fenerbahçe from Yusuf Akçiçek and Lugano.
