Paphos, a Champions League participant from Cyprus, has submitted a multi-million euro offer to Rangers for 26-year-old Brazilian striker Danilo. The Cypriot club is prepared to pay 2.3 million euros. NEC Nijmegen is also interested in the player and would prefer a loan deal, while Rangers want to sell him. It is not anticipated that NEC will match the offer from Paphos. For this reason, De Telegraaf reports that the chance of Danilo returning to the Eredivisie is not considered high. Danilo, who has one cap for Brazil's U23 team, joined Rangers from Feyenoord in July 2023 for a reported fee of €6.3 million and his contract runs until May 2028. In the 2025/2026 Scottish Premiership season, he has scored 3 goals in 14 appearances. His market value is estimated at €2.00m by Transfermarkt, and reports from January 2026 mentioned a potential transfer value of €6.8 million.
