Zenit, Madrid's Atletico, Newcastle, Bayer, and Napoli are showing interest in Botafogo midfielder Danilo, according to Planeta do Futebol, which cited ESPN on X. The Brazilian club believes that the 25-year-old's value could rise from €30 million to €40 million if he is called up for the 2026 World Cup. Botafogo will not begin negotiations before the start of the World Cup.

Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly interested in Danilo. Botafogo's preference is to secure a significant European transfer fee, and it is expected they would accept an offer of approximately €40 million. Danilo's contract is valid until June 2029. The Brazilian club is unwilling to sell him to domestic rivals such as Palmeiras or Flamengo, who have also expressed interest.

German club Bayer and Italian side Napoli have both shown interest in Botafogo's midfielder Danilo, with both clubs having made inquiries. Zenit had also made an offer for Danilo, but the midfielder did not show interest in moving to the Russian club. ESPN had previously reported that Zenit was prepared to pay a €13 million transfer fee and write off a €12 million debt.
