Daniel Karlsbakk Transfer from Sarpsborg 08 to Leicester City
Leicester City have been advised to make the signing of Sarpsborg's Norwegian striker Daniel Karlsbakk a priority as they seek a new forward. The 22-year-old, who was the top goalscorer in the Norwegian top flight last season, is considered an ideal fit for the club. Karlsbakk was close to joining Turkish club Trabzonspor for €9 million in the January transfer window, but the transfer failed in the final minutes of deadline day. As a result, the former Norway U21 international will remain with his current club until the next transfer window in the summer. Karlsbakk, whose contract is valid until the end of 2028, joined Sarpsborg in January 2025 for a reported €700,000, having previously moved from Viking to SC Heerenveen for €2.5 million in January 2023. His current Transfermarkt market value is €5.00m.
