Dan Neil Transfer from Sunderland to Borussia Mönchengladbach
Borussia Mönchengladbach has shown interest in AFC Sunderland's English midfielder Dan Neil and has made contact regarding the 24-year-old. The club faces competition from 1. FC Köln, and it is reported that they see Neil as a potential replacement for Eric Martel. The contracts for both Neil and Martel expire in the summer, which means the players can be signed on a free transfer. Neil, who has three caps for England U20, joined Sunderland in July 2021 and has made three Premier League appearances in the 2025/2026 season. His current market value is €6.50m, according to Transfermarkt. In the spring of 2025, reports suggested Sunderland would have struggled to reject bids between £15 million and £20 million.
