Aberdeen have announced their fourth summer signing, with Leyton Orient defender Daniel Happe set to join Aberdeen at the end of his current contract. The 27-year-old has agreed a two-year deal at Pittodrie with an option for a third. Daniel Happe stated that having spent his entire career at one club it was a big decision to leave, but he felt it was the right time to try something new and an opportunity he could not refuse. He also said that he had other options and interest from teams in England, but after a call with the Aberdeen manager he was in no doubt this was the move for him.

Daniel Happe, a 27-year-old English centre-back, is expected to sign for Aberdeen on a free transfer after completing a medical and agreeing terms on a multi-year contract. Happe will make the move from Leyton Orient, where he has spent his entire career since joining in October 2017, after he rejected a new contract with the club. The defender, who has one cap for England C and a current market value of €300k according to Transfermarkt, made 40 appearances in League One during the 2025/2026 season. It is reported that he had other offers from the Scottish Premiership and from England, but he has chosen to join Stephen Robinson's squad rebuild at Pittodrie.
