Curtis Jones Transfer from Liverpool to Tottenham Hotspur
Graeme Bailey, who is TEAMtalk’s transfer insider, reported that Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to make a bid for Curtis Jones in the January transfer window. DAVEOKOP reported that Tottenham are willing to make an initial offer of £30m. The £30 million offer has not yet been made, and it is unlikely that Liverpool will sell Jones at this time. Fabrizio Romano reported that Liverpool might sell the midfielder if he does not sign a new contract. Jones is out of contract at Liverpool in the summer of 2027. Romano had previously reported that Tottenham pursued Curtis Jones with strong interest at the start of the transfer window before signing Conor Gallagher. According to Romano, Jones was interested in a move to Inter, but Liverpool will not permit the player to leave on loan unless he signs a new contract. Romano stated that currently, Liverpool are not approving the exit of Jones unless he agrees to sign a new contract in the coming hours, which Romano noted is not occurring. He added that if a transfer does not occur in this window, a move could happen in the summer because the contract situation must be resolved, otherwise he could leave Liverpool in 2026.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are reportedly maintaining a long-term interest in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones but have yet to make any formal approach to Liverpool's management. Spurs have admired the 24-year-old for several seasons, recognising his technical quality, versatility, and creativity in midfield. Liverpool and manager Arne Slot view Jones as a key part of their long-term project, making any potential deal extremely difficult. Jones has spoken openly about his desire to have a career similar to that of his idol Steven Gerrard by spending the entirety of his career at Anfield. Liverpool have no intention of considering offers for the midfielder unless an extraordinary bid is made.
Paul Joyce reported that Curtis Jones had been attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur. There are no suggestions Jones wants to leave Liverpool despite his squad player status. Jones has started regularly under Slot recently, and he would have a decision to make if a club like Tottenham offered guaranteed starts.
Tottenham were closely monitoring Liverpool’s Curtis Jones before agreeing a deal for Conor Gallagher. Paul O’Keefe revealed that Curtis Jones was a significant target for Spurs and that Spurs had him on their list. Spurs were reportedly prepared to take advantage of the player's contract situation before directing their focus to Gallagher.
Transfermarkt reports on the potential transfer of Curtis Jones to Tottenham. Curtis Jones, now 24, has been a peripheral figure in Liverpool's team. Last season, he featured in just 50 percent of Liverpool's Premier League action, and that figure may fall this season. Tottenham may be able to provide him a starting role for the right price. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth to be around 45 million euros.
