Sunderland are among several Premier League clubs monitoring Almería's Serbian and French midfielder Stefan Dzodic. The 21-year-old has one cap for Serbia and has also been scouted by Bournemouth, Brentford, and Brighton. It is understood that these clubs have monitored his development since his 2025 free transfer from Montpellier. Atletico Madrid are also interested in the midfielder and have started discussions with his representatives about a potential move in 2027. While interest from the English clubs is not currently advanced, Dzodic is on their shortlists. A move from Atletico could cause them to act. The player is under contract with the Segunda Division side until 2032 and has a release clause of €40 million. This means Almería has no pressure to sell in January unless that clause is met. His current market value is €12.00M, according to Transfermarkt.
