However, they encountered difficulties due to Sporting CP's preference for a permanent transfer and a substantial fee. This financial hurdle led Fiorentina to reportedly withdraw their interest, potentially allowing Leipzig to pursue the Danish forward, born in 2005, without competition from the Italian club. The player's contract with Sporting is set to expire on June 30, 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €24 million. Juventus has also been linked with the forward.
