Chimy Ávila Transfer from Real Betis to Pumas UNAM
Pumas UNAM, a club from Mexico, is keen on acquiring 31-year-old Argentine forward Chimy Ávila and has presented an offer that is being evaluated by both the player and his current club, Real Betis. Despite reports from some Mexican media outlets asserting the deal is complete, negotiations are still in progress with no final agreement yet in place. The transaction needs to be finalized before the Mexican transfer window shuts on the evening of Friday, September 12. The proposal from Pumas is for a loan deal that includes an option to make the transfer permanent. Real Betis has been actively seeking a new club for Ávila, who has two years left on his contract, and has made him available for transfer. The Turkish club Kasimpasa has also expressed interest in the forward, but Ávila considers the offer from Mexico to be more attractive. His current market value is estimated at €2 million by Transfermarkt.
