Cédric Soares: São Paulo Contract Extension
Cédric Soares has renewed his contract with São Paulo until the end of 2025. As part of the new agreement, he will receive a 'substantial' salary increase. The player initially signed with São Paulo at the end of January this year with a contract that was significantly below the market value. With his performances, he secured a contract adjustment to reflect his role as a key player. There is also a provision for an automatic extension until the end of 2026 if certain performance targets are met.
Cédric Soares, the Portuguese international right-back who joined São Paulo earlier this year, will renew his contract with the Brazilian club. Initially, he signed a short-term contract until April, but the club intends to keep him in the squad, extending the contract until December. According to the club's director, Carlos Belmonte, both parties can refuse the automatic renewal, but a financial agreement has already been reached for the period after these three months.
