Carlos Terán Transfer from Chicago Fire to Lens
Carlos Teran, a Colombian central defender currently playing in the MLS, is in talks to join Lens. Teran, who has been a regular starter in the MLS since 2022, has reportedly expressed his desire to move to Europe for over a year. Sources indicate that an agreement with Chicago Fire is nearing completion, with a transfer fee expected to be around 3 million euros. Lens, looking to strengthen their defense following the departure of Juma Bah and the potential exit of Facundo Medina, has renewed their interest in Teran. Although Lens had considered him a year ago as a replacement for Kevin Danso, they had chosen other alternatives at that time. Now, with Teran's impressive track record of 84 MLS matches and his strong defensive abilities, Lens views him as an ideal candidate to enhance their squad. Negotiations, spearheaded by Lens' new sporting director Jean-Louis Leca, are reportedly progressing well, suggesting that Teran has a strong chance of joining the team in Artois soon.
