Leicester City has shown a definite interest in acquiring Dutch attacking midfielder Calvin Stengs, who currently lacks a guaranteed starting spot at Feyenoord. The 26-year-old Stengs, who has been dealing with fitness issues, is reportedly keen on seeking a new opportunity abroad, having not participated in any matches this season after making only fifteen appearances in the previous one. Feyenoord is interested in reducing their extensive 38-man squad to a more practical size and is willing to engage in negotiations with Leicester. Leicester City is considered a strong contender for promotion in the Championship and faces a challenging schedule of 46 matches per season, in addition to two cup competitions. Although Celtic had previously shown interest, their efforts did not come to fruition, leaving Leicester and Pisa as the leading candidates in the race to sign Stengs. The player's contract with the Dutch club extends until June 2027, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value stands at €7.00m.
