In August 2024, a transfer to Charlotte FC for a reported €8 million collapsed after a medical examination. The €8 million fee agreed with Charlotte FC in 2024 sets a recent ceiling, while the subsequent loan to Pisa in August 2025 included a €6 million purchase option, which aligns with the reported asking price to Celtic around the same time and Calvin Stengs' previous transfer fee to Feyenoord. The higher valuations from Lazio in mid-2024 appear outdated given his subsequent injury issues and diminished role.
