According to Charlie Mulgrew, Celtic cancelled a proposed deadline day transfer for Falkirk winger Calvin Miller. Mulgrew explained that Celtic had been trying to sign Miller, and the player's agent was contacted two days before the deadline with the message that the deal was ready to be completed, which delighted the winger. Mulgrew added that at 8:30 pm on the final night of the window, Miller was informed the transfer was off. Mulgrew speculated that Miller may have been a second choice for the club, suggesting the situation was an example of how deals can take a long time to complete when teams have multiple potential deals they are working on, particularly on a day when Celtic were busy with other signings. The Scottish player joined Falkirk in July 2023 and is under contract until May 2027. He has one cap for Scotland's U21 team.
