Wrexham have announced the signing of Sheffield United midfielder Callum O’Hare for an undisclosed fee believed to be worth $9.5 million (£7 million). The 28-year-old has signed an initial three-year deal at the Racecourse Ground, with an option for a fourth. His move remains subject to international clearance and registration, and he is ineligible to make his debut against Millwall on Wednesday because the transfer was completed after the 12 p.m. BST registration deadline on Tuesday. After the signing was announced, O’Hare said the club is very big and well known and that he really wanted to join. He stated he is very excited to begin and wants to help the club move in the right direction and achieve promotion to the Premier League, which he said is what everyone wants. Wrexham manager Parkinson said the club is delighted to welcome Callum, stating he is a player with significant Championship experience and will be a great addition for future seasons.

According to Pete O’Rourke, Wrexham have agreed a deal for Sheffield United midfielder Callum O'Hare, and the player is scheduled to have a medical this morning.

Wrexham have made a transfer bid for Callum O'Hare, which is believed to be in the region of £6.5 million. Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder confirmed that a bid had come in from north Wales for his midfielder. The ownership of The Blades is currently considering whether to accept the bid. Chris Wilder said that the bid from Wrexham is with Steve Bettis, the Sheffield United chief executive, and the owners. Wilder also stated that he is aware there have been bids from that football club for other players in that position. He added that there may be a strategy of making multiple offers for players in that position to see what becomes available, and that the deal is not finalized.

According to The Star, Wrexham are interested in signing Sheffield United's 28-year-old English midfielder Callum O’Hare before the transfer deadline on Tuesday. The club is reportedly seeking to strengthen its squad for an effort to gain promotion under Phil Parkinson, following a start without a win in their first three Championship matches. A new attacking midfielder is a priority for the club. O'Hare joined the club in July 2024 and is considered an important part of United’s own promotion ambitions. His contract is set to run until 2028. His importance to the team increased following Gus Hamer's move to Coventry City, and any approach from Wrexham late in the transfer window would be a significant challenge for Sheffield United's owners. Southampton have also been reported as interested in the player. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €5.00m.
