Journalist Alan Nixon, via his Patreon, has reported that Derby County are ready to open talks for a move for Brian De Keersmaecker, a Belgian midfielder from Oxford United. Nixon states that Derby could acquire him in a bargain deal. It is also mentioned that Derby are reportedly keen to sign a midfielder of a similar type to David Ozoh, a situation which suggests the Palace player is not returning for a third time at this stage. De Keersmaecker joined Oxford United from the Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo for a fee that is believed to have exceeded £1m.
