Lille has initiated discussions with Ajax concerning the possible transfer of Dutch striker Brian Brobbey. Ajax is asking for a total package worth 25 million euros, which includes bonuses and a percentage of any future resale. The 23-year-old, who is under contract until 2027, was brought back to Ajax from RB Leipzig in 2022 for more than 16 million euros. He has conveyed his interest in making a move this summer. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €22 million. However, there has been limited interest, with concrete offers only coming from Stade Rennes and Lille, and some interest from clubs in Germany and Italy. Sources familiar with Brobbey's situation suggest he is seriously considering remaining at Ajax for at least another six months. With the transfer window closing on September 2, Ajax faces pressure to complete a deal, as they require funds to acquire a defensive midfielder and possibly a new striker.
