According to the Bosnian outlet Reprezentacija, FC Porto contacted Brøndby IF last Monday to inquire about 23-year-old Bosnian-Herzegovinian international Benjamin Tahirovic. The club is managed by former Ajax trainer Francesco Farioli. While there is no concrete offer yet, Porto has asked about the asking price for the midfielder. Tahirovic does not have a release clause in his contract. He joined the Danish club from Ajax for a fee of just under three million euros, signing a three-and-a-half-year deal. Brøndby has previously turned down interest in the player, rejecting an attempt from Celtic last winter and an earlier effort from Espanyol. The Danish club is reportedly waiting until after the World Cup before making any definite decisions on his future. For Bosnia-Herzegovina, Tahirovic has 26 caps and has scored 2 goals. In the 2025/2026 Superliga season, he has made 20 appearances, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist. His current market value is €4.50m.
