Dunfermline have signed 28-year-old goalkeeper Aston Oxborough from Motherwell for an undisclosed fee, following a loan spell at the club last season. During his loan spell, Oxborough kept seven clean sheets in 15 games and helped the team reach the Scottish Cup final and the Premiership play-offs semi-final. He was briefly recalled by Motherwell during that period, which resulted in him missing the second-leg play-off defeat to Partick Thistle. Oxborough's time at Motherwell, where he made 32 appearances, was affected by a series of injuries. The English goalkeeper's new contract runs until May 2028.
