Olympiacos has been monitoring players from Craiova, with 26-year-old Palestinian-Swedish striker Assad Al-Hamlawi being among those scouted. Al-Hamlawi did not impress the representatives of the 'Red and Whites'. The Piraeus club had also previously watched central defender Vladimir Screciu. Despite this, Al-Hamlawi is still considered one of Craiova's most in-demand players. Representatives of a Greek team are also expected to be present to watch Craiova's players again in a match against Brighton. Al-Hamlawi, who has scored five goals in six appearances for Palestine, joined Universitatea Craiova in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2028. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.00M.
