Aral Şimşir, a 23-year-old Turkish-Danish winger for the Danish club Midtjylland, has been placed on the transfer list by French Ligue 1 representative Lille. The American MLS team San Diego FC is also interested in signing the player. Both clubs are in negotiations with the player's side to arrange a transfer. Şimşir joined the club in July 2021 and scored 9 goals with 15 assists in 31 domestic league and championship round appearances during the 2025/26 season. His contract is valid until the end of 2029, and his market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €10.00m. It was reported in May 2026 that Midtjylland's asking price was at least €15 million. This followed the rejection of a reported offer from Trabzonspor in February 2026 for over €10 million.
