Anis Mehmeti: Bristol City Contract Extension
Bristol City manager Gerhard Struber stated that Anis Mehmeti has a very good offer from the club, and they will see how he decides to act. Struber added that they want to do everything to keep Mehmeti with them for at least the next two years. He said that not everything is in their hands, as the player's contract is out in the summer and it is clear that he has other offers. Struber said he has a strong hope that Anis might decide to stay with Bristol City.
The Robins' technical director Brian Tinnion confirmed last October that 25-year-old Albanian international Anis Mehmeti has been offered a new contract in south Bristol. That offer is still available, and the decision is now for the winger to make amid recent speculation. Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested. The Robins hierarchy want Mehmeti to sign a new deal in the West Country, and the aim is to keep him beyond the end of the season, not just the January transfer window. Mehmeti, who joined the club in January 2023, has a contract that runs until June 2026 and has been in strong form this season, recording 8 goals and 6 assists in 28 Championship appearances. He has 3 caps for Albania, and his current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €10.00m.
