Negotiations for the renewal of Andrés Castrín's contract are ongoing, and the club is optimistic about the central defender's renewal. Luis García Plaza has expressed his support, stating on Canal Sur Radio that Castrín has to play and that he hopes he renews. Plaza added that Castrín is a player who can have a significant, long-term impact at the club and is from the club. Castrín has not yet renewed his contract despite having known about the club's interest for months. When recently questioned about the renewal, the player responded that such matters no longer depend on him and that his agents should handle it. He added that he is fine, very comfortable, and that the only thing he thinks about is working.

According to AS, Sevilla wants to secure the future of Andrés Castrín, whose contract expires this coming summer. The club's intention is for the player to continue, but one of the obstacles is Sevilla’s delicate financial situation. The report also notes that Castrín will be cooperative when negotiating a new contract.

Marca reports that Andrés Castrín's agent visited recently and that communication with Sevilla about his contract renewal is ongoing. The report also states the club desires for the player to remain part of the squad in the coming years and has full confidence in him.

AS reports that Sevilla has been attempting to complete a contract renewal for Andrés Castrín since June, but the signing has not been finalized. The player's contract runs until June 2027, and he will be permitted to negotiate a free transfer starting in January if an agreement is not reached. Castrín is inclined to renew, and Sevilla intends to offer a salary and release clause that correspond to his performance; however, progress has been limited.
