Lazio is reportedly leading the race to acquire 27-year-old right-back Andrei Ratiu from Rayo Vallecano. Ratiu, who has been a pivotal player for Rayo Vallecano, has accumulated 3,067 minutes across 35 La Liga matches and netted two goals. Despite interest from other clubs such as Roma, Bayer Leverkusen, Atlético Madrid, and Barcelona, Lazio appears willing to make the necessary investment to secure his transfer. Rayo Vallecano is said to be demanding a release clause of 25 million euros, with 50% of the transfer fee going to Villarreal. However, Lazio's market activities are currently hindered by liquidity and sustainability index parameters, with the earliest possible signing date being October 1st.

Lazio had previously expressed interest in acquiring Andrei Ratiu, who is currently valued at 25 million euros due to a release clause in his contract.
