It is understood that the midfielder's representatives and Liverpool have rebuffed approaches from multiple clubs, as Mac Allister has indicated he does not want to leave Anfield. An inside source close to the player’s representatives has revealed that the 27-year-old is happy at Liverpool and looks forward to working with new head coach Andoni Iraola. That position has effectively ended the possibility of a transfer this summer. It is also understood that Liverpool intends to open discussions about a new contract later this year. Two years remain on his current deal. Mac Allister's stance is that he wants to stay and play a leading role in the club's project, although interest from the other clubs may remain. The midfielder has 54 caps and 7 goals for Argentina and a current Transfermarkt market value of €70.00m. It was reported in July 2026 that Liverpool would accept €100m for the player, who joined from Brighton in July 2023 for a fee of €42m.
