Austrian midfielder Alexander Briedl, 24, has moved to Aberdeen from Blau-Weiss Linz on a two-year contract. The transfer is one of manager Stephen Robinson's first additions in a summer squad rehaul. Robinson stated that Briedl possesses many of the qualities he desires in a midfielder and expressed that he will be a good fit for the Scottish Premiership. Briedl joined Blau-Weiss Linz in July 2022 and has been capped twice for the Austria U21 national team. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €700k.
