Derby County is in discussions with fellow Championship club West Brom regarding 31-year-old English midfielder Alex Mowatt. It is reported that West Brom is prepared to allow the midfielder to leave provided their terms are met. Negotiations are expected to continue. Mowatt is a long-term target for Derby head coach John Eustace, who was interested in signing him last summer. However, an agreement was not reached, and Mowatt instead signed a two-year contract extension. Derby is hopeful of securing an agreement as Mowatt is now in the final 12 months of that deal. Mowatt joined West Brom in July 2021.
