Sheffield United midfielder Alex Matos, an English and Ghanaian national, is in talks to join Swedish club AIK on loan this month due to a lack of game time. The 21-year-old has made eight league appearances this season, leading Sheffield United to approve a temporary move. The club has approved the loan and Matos is in discussions with AIK, which is managed by Mikkjal Thomassen. Matos, who has two caps for England's U20 team, joined Sheffield United in September 2025 and his contract runs until June 2028. His current market value is €1.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
