Sport reported that Liverpool are keen on signing Alejandro Balde from Barcelona in the summer of 2026 and could attempt to sign the full-back if they perceive an opportunity for him to leave. The report added that Barcelona would be open to a transfer for a significant offer, should all parties benefit from a deal that would generate significant net profits for the club. According to Sport, Balde has a €1billion release clause in his contract. Balde has shown no indication of wanting to leave, as his commitment has always been to Barca. There is also interest in the 22-year-old from the Saudi Pro League, but Balde is firm in his desire to play for Barca.
