Sports Boom has stated that Middlesbrough have submitted an eight-figure offer for Southampton forward Adam Armstrong. The club is competing to sign him against Championship rivals Ipswich Town and Stoke City, as well as Wrexham. The 28-year-old English forward has a contract with Southampton that runs until June 2027 and has scored 11 goals and provided 4 assists in 29 Championship appearances for the club this season. The offer from Middlesbrough is reportedly worth a minimum of €11.8 million (£10 million). Armstrong has been capped by England at the U21 level. He joined Southampton from Blackburn Rovers in August 2021 for a reported €17.7 million and has a current valuation of €9.00m according to Transfermarkt.
