Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace announced that 23-year-old Ivorian central defender Abakar Sylla has departed to Gaziantep FK, which is currently 11th in the Süper Lig. The transfer was completed just before the Turkish transfer window closed on Friday at 23:59. Sylla was purchased for €20 million in 2023 and has 6 caps for his country. He had not fully convinced at Strasbourg and was on loan to FC Nantes during the second half of the last season, a move that was seen as an opportunity for him to relaunch his career. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €2.50m.
