Aaron James is a loan target for a number of League One and League Two clubs, according to Pete O’Rourke. James started for Wrexham in their friendly win over Manchester United on Saturday.

According to 90min, Aaron James is expected to make an imminent loan move away from Wrexham.

Wrexham intends to send Aaron James out on loan for the 2026–27 season. The Red Dragons triggered their option of an additional year for the 20-year-old English defender, who joined the club in July 2024, to give him another chance to prove himself after injury. Phil Parkinson said he feels Aaron is a player whose progress has been stifled a little bit this season by a bad knee injury at the start of the season. Parkinson stated that because James only got back fit in January, it hindered his chances of getting a loan move that they had wanted for him, but that they are going to work hard this summer to get Aaron a good loan move and hopefully he can push on from there.
