Mateo Retegui, a 26-year-old Italian international centre-forward, wants to return to Serie A. The player's father has spoken with Milan and has had direct contact with Juventus' sporting director, Marco Ottolini. Retegui's father knows Ottolini well from their time at Genoa. A potential move is complicated because Al-Qadisiya is not willing to let him leave on loan or for a reduced fee.
Further obstacles are Retegui's very high salary in Saudi Arabia and his valuation, which could be a minimum of 40 million euros. The striker has 26 caps for Italy and has scored 15 goals in 25 Saudi Pro League appearances this season. Al-Qadisiya signed him from Atalanta in July 2025 for a fee reported to be €68.3 million. In March 2026, there was a rumour of a potential future offer from Milan of at least €45-50 million.
