Diogo Costa is one of the options for the goalkeeper position at Juventus for next season. The signing of the 26-year-old Portuguese international was proposed to the Turin club by agent Jorge Mendes. Diogo Costa's name was mentioned during negotiations between Jorge Mendes and Juventus regarding a possible transfer of Bernardo Silva from Manchester City. Diogo Costa is appreciated by Juventus but is considered an alternative to other targets viewed as more of a priority and more economical, such as Alisson from Liverpool and Marco Carnesecchi from Atalanta. Juventus estimates that the transfer could cost between 45 and 50 million euros, a value the club is currently evaluating. The decision will be contingent on how negotiations with other targets for the position progress.

Diogo Costa, who recently renewed his contract with FC Porto until 2030, would be open to a new experience in one of the main European leagues. Following his recent contract renewal with FC Porto, Diogo Costa's release clause decreased from 75 to 60 million euros. The goalkeeper has 42 caps for his country and has played in 26 Liga Portugal matches this season. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market value to be €40.00m. Besides the interest from Juventus, Chelsea and Aston Villa have also been associated with the player.
