Celtic have reportedly initiated discussions regarding a potential transfer for Cole Campbell, a winger for Borussia Dortmund who holds American and Icelandic nationality. The 20-year-old has been capped by the USA at the U23 level. He is not believed to be included in the plans of manager Niko Kovač, and it is said that Dortmund are willing to allow his departure this summer for a suitable opportunity. Campbell was on loan at Hoffenheim for the second half of the previous season, where he made five appearances. Hoffenheim chose not to exercise an option to make the transfer permanent for a fee of approximately €7.5 million.
Celtic are one of the clubs interested in the player, but the discussions are in an early phase and a deal is not imminent. According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is €5 million. It was reported that VfB Stuttgart made a €7 million offer in the summer of 2025. By December 2025, Dortmund's asking price was reportedly between €6 million and €7 million.
