Erik Botheim

In September 2026, reports indicated Malmö FF was demanding around €6 million, while Trabzonspor was reportedly aiming for a fee of €4-5 million. Throughout 2026, his Transfermarkt value was consistently cited as €3.5 million. Historically, his January 2022 transfer from Bodø/Glimt to Krasnodar was reported at €7.5 million, with other reports mentioning a fee of over 60 million Norwegian kroner (approx. €5.2 million) for the same move.

Our valuation is driven by multiple consistent reports from August and September 2026 stating Malmö FF's asking price for Erik Botheim was €6 million. This is supported by reported interest and bids from several clubs, including a specific target range of €4-5 million from Trabzonspor. Given his strong goalscoring record and the competitive interest culminating in a record-breaking transfer for Viking, the final fee likely settled in the upper end of this range, representing a compromise.
